The Challenge
"The main challenge was to deliver precision CNC parts while controlling anodizing color against approved sample coupons, agreed lighting conditions, and optional colorimeter checks."
Key Requirements
- Precision CNC: Tight dimensional control for multi-face assembly.
- Color Consistency: Anodizing had to be checked against approved sample coupons under agreed lighting and viewing conditions.
- Surface Finish: Sanded smooth with sandpaper to prepare for optimal color absorption and premium look.
Our Execution
We implemented a strict quality control loop for manufacturing and surface finishing.
Advanced Machining
Combines 3 and 4 axis CNC machining, EDM, and laser marking to achieve the demand of air tight sealing and ensure proper multi-face assembly.
Color Matching Process
We naturally use RAL or Pantone color codes. We produce a sample coupon first, adjust the dye formulation, and only once it passes the colorimeter test, apply the same parameters for the ready parts.
Final Verification
Parts are checked against the approved master sample and color target, with colorimeter readings used when the acceptance criteria are agreed during RFQ.

Need Color Anodizing?
We can review standard color targets and custom matching requirements during RFQ.

Engineering evidence record
Color anodizing evidence record. This public case summary is based on anonymized RFQ notes, engineering review, inspection planning, and packing handoff records; customer-sensitive details removed.
Color anodized CNC case evidence
Color anodizing cases should prove both machining quality and finish handling. The buyer needs to see finish comparison, surface protection, inspection notes, and packing before shipment.
Compare raw machining, natural anodizing, black anodizing, and cosmetic surface requirements before approving batch production.
Send aluminum grade, target color, gloss expectation, masked areas, threaded features, cosmetic faces, quantity, and tolerance notes.
Check coating consistency, scratch risk, edge protection, critical dimensions after finishing, and packaging method before shipment.
Anodizing color can vary by alloy, surface prep, geometry, and batch, so reference samples and acceptance standards should be agreed early.
How to prepare a quote-ready RFQ
Before quoting, send the part purpose, CAD revision, material target, finish, tolerance-critical features, inspection expectations, packaging needs, and destination so engineering can price the correct route.
What engineers need to review accurately
A stronger RFQ identifies the functional goal, critical dimensions, appearance requirements, quantity, flexible constraints, and inspection evidence expected before shipment.

Color anodizing approval checklist
This representative checklist explains how anodized color approval should be scoped without promising a universal color match. It is sample-only, customer-sensitive details are removed, and it is not a certificate or default shipment report.
What the checklist covers
Alloy and temper consistency, sample coupon approval, agreed lighting condition, masking / rack marks, visible surface mapping, and scratch-safe packing evidence.
Color boundary
Colorimeter readings and Delta E only when agreed during RFQ; public case pages must not imply a fixed percentage or universal color-match guarantee.
