NDA before files
DFocus can sign your NDA or provide a mutual NDA before CAD, drawings, or proprietary project notes are shared.
CAD security & NDA
Before you upload files, confirm how CAD access, NDA timing, partner sharing, retention, and deletion requests work during quote and engineering review.
DFocus can sign your NDA or provide a mutual NDA before CAD, drawings, or proprietary project notes are shared.
CAD files are used for quote and engineering review. Access should be limited to project, quoting, engineering, and approved manufacturing partners required for the RFQ.
If vetted partner capacity is needed, project information should be shared only for the agreed RFQ route and documentation scope.
How file handling should work
This is the operational boundary engineering buyers should confirm before sending production-critical CAD or 2D drawings.
Use HTTPS upload or send files after NDA. Avoid public links that expose CAD without access control.
Ask who can view the files: sales intake, engineering review, process planning, QC, and approved capacity partners if needed.
Confirm whether files are retained for repeat quotes, archived after project closure, or deleted on written request.
If partner capacity is used, request confirmation that CAD sharing is limited to RFQ/manufacturing need and covered by confidentiality controls.
Recommended RFQ note
NDA available before file sharing. CAD files are used only for quote and engineering review. Access is limited to the project team and any approved manufacturing partners required for the RFQ.
Documentation boundary
Inspection documents, material certificates, COC, CMM or FAI records are prepared only when agreed during RFQ. CAD access and documentation scope should be confirmed before production.
Yes. Use the contact form or quote note to request NDA review before sending CAD, drawings, or confidential project details.
Only when partner capacity is needed for the RFQ or agreed production route. If that is sensitive, state the restriction before quotation.
Yes. Send a written request through the contact page. Retention or deletion should account for active quotes, purchase orders, compliance records, and repeat-order needs.
If the project is confidential, request NDA review first. If files are ready, upload CAD and include process, material, quantity, finish, tolerance, inspection, destination, and deadline.
